The team behind the upcoming war drama Ikkis has honored the legendary Dharmendra on what would have been his 90th birth anniversary today, December 8, 2025. Maddock Films shared an emotional video featuring Dharam ji from the sets of the film, celebrating the evergreen actor whose simplicity and spirit continue to inspire generations.
The production house posted a moving tribute on social media today, remembering the Bollywood icon who passed away just two weeks ago on November 24. The video captures precious moments with the veteran star during the filming of Ikkis, where he expressed his joy at working with director Sriram Raghavan and the entire team. His words and warmth in the clip serve as a beautiful reminder of why he remained beloved throughout his six-decade-long career.
Dharmendra’s Heartfelt Words From The Sets
In the tribute video, Dharmendra can be heard expressing his happiness about being part of Ikkis. “I’m extremely happy to be with the Maddock Films, the team, the captain Sriram ji,” he said with his trademark warmth. The actor also shared his thoughts about the film’s universal appeal, stating, “Film is done in a very nice way. I think India and Pakistan both should see the picture.”
On the last day of shooting, Dharam ji revealed his mixed emotions about wrapping up the project. “I’m a bit happily sad today, for the last day of shooting,” he admitted. True to his humble nature, he ended his message with touching words. “I love you all. Kuch kahi koi galti hogayi, uske liye kshama karna” (If I made any mistake anywhere, please forgive me for that), he said, laughing warmly as the video concluded.
A Tribute To Timeless Legacy
The Maddock family’s tribute read, “Team Ikkis of the Maddock Family remembers Dharam ji on his 90th. Honouring the evergreen Dharmendra ji on his birth anniversary. His simplicity, spirit, and legacy continue to inspire us. Grateful today and always.” These words perfectly capture the sentiment of an industry that continues to feel the loss of one of its greatest icons.
Dharmendra’s final film appearance in Ikkis will remain a testament to his dedication to cinema. The actor plays M L Khetarpal, the father of the film’s protagonist, in what has now become a poignant farewell performance. His presence in the war drama adds emotional depth to the story of India’s youngest Param Vir Chakra recipient.
