Karan Johar‘s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is easily one of the most anticipated Bollywood films of this year. The film is also a celebration of Karan’s 25th anniversary in the industry as a director. He is also returning to the director’s chair after 2016’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil. Its promotion started earlier after the makers released its teaser, trailer, and two songs.
Now, according to reports, the ground promotions of the film will kick-start soon as its two leading actors, Alia Bhatt, and Ranveer Singh will be visiting multiple cities across weeks. As the release is coming near, the entire team will be exhausting their energy to create awareness about the film in the coming weeks by conducting interviews, appearances on shows, and city visits.
Two Songs Have Been Released So Far
Last month, the makers released a romantic track from the album titled Tum Kya Mile. The song is sung by Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh and was picturised on Alia and Ranveer in Kashmir. It enjoyed the top spot on YouTube India’s trending list. Yesterday, another song titled What Jhumka was released. It is a modern rendition of Asha Bhonsle’s Jhumka Gira Re. Both songs have been enjoyed by the masses.
About Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani
The film is produced and directed by Karan Johar and is written by Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan, and Sumit Roy. It stars Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan, Shabana Azmi, and Ronit Roy. Pritam composed the music while Amitabh Bhattacharya penned the lyrics. Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani is slated to release theatrically on 28 July.
