The Immortal Ashwatthama, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Vicky Kaushal, is one of the most eagerly anticipated films of the year. The film has been generating a lot of talk recently, and for all the right reasons. Due to the ongoing Covid 19 outbreak, filming for the mega-scale sci-fi project was postponed earlier this year.
Vicky and Aditya, along with the rest of the cast and crew, wanted to begin filming in Europe in August. However, Dhar’s preparations have been hampered by the inability to obtain visa approval for a European shoot.
The team has not yet acquired visa approval, according to a news in Mid-Day, delaying their intentions to fly to Europe for the filming.
The web portal quoted a source close to the development as saying, “The team is awaiting visa clearance, which takes longer in the post-pandemic times. First, Aditya will travel with a lean team for the recce. He has not finalised the countries, and the venues may change, depending on the situation in Eastern Europe.”
“The rest of the unit will join them only after the on-ground checks have been cleared. Vicky is likely to start the film between mid- and late-August, after wrapping up Mr Lele,” the insider added.
Vicky Kaushal will play the character of warrior Ashwatthama in The Immortal Ashwatthama, which is based on the Mahabharata. To get into the skin of his part, the Kaushal underwent a massive physical metamorphosis.
