Coronavirus pandemic and nationwide lockdown hampered the entertainment business a lot. Many production houses are facing losses and the makers even had to dismantle huge sets as it remains unused.
Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan team had created a makeshift stadium in Mumbai for football scenes. The makers have reportedly spent over Rs. 7 crores on the set.
However, it had to be dismantled for now. As per the information the set for Maidaan will be recreated before the schedule begins in November.
Since the set would get damaged by the rain the makers decided to pull it down and will have it rebuilt from October onwards right before the next schedule. Rebuilding means extra expenses.
Since the makers are running late the film has shifted the release to August 2021.
