The Raja Saab Day 4 Box Office Report: Prabhas Film In Steep Decline Mode, Barely Crosses Rs 150 Crore Worldwide Mark With Disastrous Monday Collections

Prabhas starrer The Raja Saab continues its alarming downward trajectory at the box office, managing to collect only Rs 6.50 crore approximately on its fourth day (Monday) across Indian markets. The horror comedy’s domestic total now stands at Rs 120.50 crore after four days of release, while the worldwide collections have inched past the Rs 151 crore mark.

The Monday collections reveal the severity of the situation, as the film experienced a catastrophic drop despite holiday support in Telugu speaking states. The overseas markets have virtually dried up, contributing negligible amounts to the overall tally. Industry analysts note that without the Sankranti festival cushion in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the numbers would have been even more concerning.

Hindi Belt Performance Crashes Completely

The Hindi dubbed version of the film has witnessed a complete collapse, barely scraping past Rs 1 crore on Monday. Trade experts predict that the Hindi prints will be pulled from most circuits within the coming week as exhibitors look to make way for other releases. The Sankranti holiday period might provide some breathing room in the Telugu markets, but the writing is clearly on the wall for this big budget venture.

Financial Disaster Looms Large For Stakeholders

What makes the situation particularly grave is the massive budget involved in mounting this spectacle. With production costs reportedly exceeding Rs 400 crore, the film needed exceptional theatrical performance to break even. Current projections suggest the worldwide theatrical run will conclude well below the Rs 200 crore mark, translating to a theatrical recovery of under Rs 100 crore for the stakeholders.

This catastrophic gap between investment and returns positions The Raja Saab among the most significant financial disappointments in recent Indian cinema history. The film’s failure is expected to result in losses exceeding Rs 200 crore, a staggering figure that will have ripple effects across the industry. The non theatrical revenue streams, which have seen declining values in recent times, will be unable to bridge this enormous deficit.

Regional Breakdown Shows Uneven Performance

The territorial collections reveal that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana continue to be the primary contributors, though even these core markets are showing fatigue. The Nizam region has grossed Rs 37.25 crore, while Ceded and Andhra territories have added Rs 11.50 crore and Rs 37.50 crore respectively. Karnataka’s contribution stands at Rs 12.50 crore, with Tamil Nadu and Kerala combining for just Rs 2.75 crore.

The overseas circuit, which opened promisingly, has effectively concluded its run with USD 3.425 million in total collections. North America led with USD 2.075 million, but the momentum evaporated after the opening weekend.
