Emraan Hashmi and Mallika Sherawat, once at odds, seem to have buried the hatchet. The two actors, who gained fame with their 2004 blockbuster Murder, were spotted together at a wedding recently, sparking interest and nostalgia among fans. The duo posed for the paparazzi, signalling a thaw in their frosty relationship.
Emraan Hashmi Wishes To Work Again With Mallika Sherawat
In a recent interview with News18, Emraan Hashmi expressed his desire to work with Mallika again, reflecting on their past differences. “We were young and stupid at that time. You go through a phase in your life when your decision-making power is so limited and you’re just so impulsive. Some mean things were said by her and some by me. But those are all bygones. We kept all of that aside. It was long back.”
He added, “It was very nice seeing and meeting her. She was very warm and so was I. She’s a co-actor I wish I could have worked again with,” said Emraan.
On Their Recent Encounter At A Wedding
He elaborated on their recent encounter at producer Anant Pandit’s daughter’s wedding, adding, “It was very warm and cordial. I saw her after a very long time. I don’t think we had an encounter like this in a long time. I met her a couple of times after the release of Murder.”
What Mallika Said About Her Feud With Emraan Hashmi
Mallika, too, has reflected on their past feud. In 2021, she admitted on The Love Laugh Live Show season 3, “The funniest (fight) was with Emraan Hashmi after or during Murder. We didn’t speak and now I think it was so childish. It was after the film, I think, during promotions or something, we had a misunderstanding. It was so uncalled for and so childish on my part also. I’m no less.”
The history between Emraan and Mallika has been tumultuous. Their on-screen chemistry in Anurag Basu’s Murder was a major talking point in 2004. However, their off-screen relationship quickly soured, leading to public spats.
Emraan’s infamous comment on Koffee with Karan in 2014, where he called Mallika a “bad kisser” and joked about gifting her a ‘dummy’s guide to learn English’, added fuel to the fire.
Despite their past conflicts, it seems time has healed old wounds. Their recent interaction at the wedding and Emraan’s comments suggest a willingness to move forward.

On the work front, Emraan Hashmi is gearing up for his next project, Showtime. Meanwhile, Mallika Sherawat was last seen in Pambattam.
