Vicky Jain’s first production venture has run into a serious off-screen roadblock just as it was trying to build momentum. The untitled action film starring Tiger Shroff and Elvish Yadav, with Remo D’Souza directing, is now at the centre of a payment dispute involving artists attached to the project, turning a high-profile launch into a tense industry standoff.
Tiger’s action drama directed by Remo D Souza, went on floors on August 1 in Mumbai. The project is being produced by Vishal Gurnani, Neeraj Tiwari, Vicky Jain, Juhi Parekh Mehta and Mukesh Gupta.
Box Office Worldwide has exclusively learned that Abhishek Banerjee completed 15 days of shooting on the film without payment, while Nushrratt Bharuccha and other talent associated with the production are also awaiting dues. The dispute has now escalated to formal legal communication, and the production’s immediate next schedule is under pressure.
Legal Notice Puts The Shoot On Hold
The sharpest indication of where the matter stands comes from the communication sent on behalf of the affected side. As conveyed to the production, the stand is clear: “they won’t resume shooting until the outstanding payments are cleared.” That line now defines the crisis around a film that had only just gone on floors and was being introduced as a major action franchise play for VJ Frames.
The timing makes the setback especially notable. On August 1, 2026, Jain announced the film as the launch project of his banner and confirmed that shooting had begun the same day. In his announcement, he wrote, “Feeling truly blessed to begin a dream so close to my heart on my birthday. Today, I step into a new role as a producer with VJ Frames and our ambitious Action Franchise: Production No. 1.” He also added, “A new year. A new chapter. A new journey. Cameras roll today. This is just the beginning.”
Elvish Yadav, who marked the film as his acting debut at the time of the announcement, had written, “Today feels like a dream. My first film. A new beginning, a new journey, and a moment I’ve always dreamed of. Grateful, excited, and ready for everything that’s ahead.” He followed that with, “Honoured to be directed by Remo D’Souza sir. Hoping we’ve created something beautiful for all of you to watch. Here’s to new beginnings, dreams coming true, and the amazing journey ahead.”
A Splashy Launch Now Faces Its First Real Test
The untitled film is directed by Remo D’Souza and produced by VJ Frames, with Aagaaz Entertainment and Insomnia Films attached to the project. The cast announced around the launch included Tiger Shroff, Abhishek Banerjee and Elvish Yadav, with later trade updates also linking Nushrratt Bharuccha and Pashmina Roshan to the ensemble. The project was positioned as the first chapter of an action franchise and as the debut production from Jain’s banner. No official title or release date has been announced so far.
Why This Film Matters In Tiger Shroff’S Current Run
For Tiger Shroff, the stakes around this production are not minor. His last released films were Baaghi 4 in 2025, followed by Singham Again and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 2024, which means this Remo D’Souza project sits prominently in his current line-up as of August 24, 2026. It also reunites him with Remo after their earlier collaboration, giving the film added weight as a career move within his core action space. His last 5 films were box office disasters and that’s why now every films of his is crucial.
That is precisely why a payments dispute at this stage matters, because a film launched as a fresh commercial play for Tiger is suddenly being defined by whether production can settle its dues and get the set moving again.
