Less than a day after gunmen opened fire at Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in Mumbai on Sunday evening, the case saw a swift and dramatic breakthrough. By Monday, October 19, all three accused had been arrested in Rajasthan’s Kota, capping an interstate chase that unfolded within roughly 15 hours of the attack.
The shooting took place near Pushpa Narsee Park in Mumbai’s Vile Parle area around 7 pm on Sunday, October 18. Tiger Shroff was unharmed, but his driver Firdosh and a bystander, Umesh Chavan, suffered bullet injuries. As the case triggered concern across Mumbai and among film fans, Mumbai Police and the Crime Branch moved quickly, forming multiple teams and tracing the suspects through surveillance footage.
Arrests Made At Kota Railway Station
Police said the three accused were tracked after fleeing Mumbai and were intercepted while travelling on the Pune to Jaipur Express. The arrests were carried out in a joint operation by the Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force and Kota City Police, turning what began as a high-profile shooting probe into a rapid cross-state crackdown.
Officials said two of the men are accused of opening fire, while the third is accused of acting as the bike taxi rider linked to their movement. Police are also examining a social media post that claimed responsibility in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang as part of the broader investigation.
What Police Have Confirmed So Far
A case was registered against three unidentified men after five rounds were fired at the actor’s vehicle. Investigators then followed the trail using CCTV footage and coordinated with teams outside Maharashtra to locate the accused before they could move further.
The accused have been identified as Phool Singh, 17, from Sonepat in Haryana; Hrithik Kumar alias Roshan, 22, originally from Begusarai in Bihar and currently living in Andheri West, Mumbai; and Rehan, 18, from Sonepat, Haryana. With all three now in custody, police interrogation and transit procedures will shape the next phase of the case as investigators piece together motive, movement and any wider criminal links.
Why The Case Has Drawn Intense Attention
The case has drawn immediate national attention not only because of the speed of the arrests, but because it involved one of Bollywood’s most recognisable action stars. Tiger Shroff’s screen image has long been tied to high-voltage action spectacles, which has kept him firmly in the public spotlight even during a mixed run at the box office.
Tiger Shroff’s Recent And Upcoming Work
Tiger’s most recent theatrical releases include Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in 2024, alongside Akshay Kumar, and Singham Again in 2024, where he appeared in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe as ACP Satya. In 2025, he returned with Baaghi 4, adding another chapter to one of his best-known action franchises.
On the upcoming slate, confirmed projects listed for the actor include Lag Jaa Gale and an untitled Vijay Krishna Acharya film. That sustained pipeline helps explain why the attack and the quick arrests have resonated so strongly across both crime and entertainment headlines.
