Less than a day after gunfire targeted Tiger Shroff’s vehicle in Mumbai, Jackie Shroff was back under the arc lights. The veteran actor resumed shooting for Nanavati Vs Nanavati on Monday, October 19, with the production quietly adjusting its schedule in the immediate aftermath of the attack.
Jackie Shroff Keeps Nanavati Vs Nanavati On Track
Jackie reported to the set as planned and completed a 12 hour shift, with filming hours moved earlier in the day so he could wrap by 5 pm. The production schedule remained in place despite the anxiety surrounding the incident, and work on the current leg of Nanavati Vs Nanavati continued without a shutdown.
The decision also underlined the practical scale of any last minute halt. A set of this size involves a large working crew, coordinated call times, and tightly linked logistics, making a sudden cancellation a major disruption for everyone involved in the ongoing shoot.
The Incident Around Tiger Shroff
Tiger Shroff suffered minor abrasions in the firing incident on Sunday evening, October 18. His driver and a bystander were also injured when assailants opened fire at the actor’s vehicle after his football game in Mumbai.
The attack immediately raised security concerns around the family and their professional commitments. Even so, Nanavati Vs Nanavati stayed on course, placing Jackie back at work as attention continued to build around the incident.
The film has also generated interest for reuniting Jackie with Meenakshi Seshadri on screen, adding another layer of attention to a project that was already drawing curiosity before the latest development.
Jackie Shroff’s Recent And Upcoming Work
Jackie has remained consistently active across films and streaming releases in recent years. His 2023 title Mast Mein Rehne Ka premiered on Prime Video and earned attention for its warm character driven tone. In 2025, he featured in Housefull 5, keeping one foot firmly in big screen commercial cinema while continuing to mix genres across his slate.
In 2026, Jackie is also part of The Great Grand Superhero: Aliens Ka Aagman, extending a career that continues to move fluidly between ensemble entertainers and character parts. He also has Baap in the pipeline, a film that has attracted attention for bringing together several veteran action stars, along with Monster.
Tiger, meanwhile, remains attached to Lag Jaa Gale, Rambo, and Vajra. Those films continue his association with action heavy storytelling, even as the latest off screen incident has placed an unexpected spotlight on the Shroff family.
