Dharma Productions is gearing up to unleash another cinematic spectacular!
After the success of films such as Good Newwz and Jug Jugg Jeeyo, director Raj Mehta returns once again, this time with a fresh pairing and an explosive twist on familiar genre tropes. This time around, Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor get the lead roles in an action thrill ride called Lag Jaa Gale, which is already generating excitement before shooting has even started!
First-Time Pairing, High Stakes Romance & Revenge
A source close to the project disclosed:
“Raj Mehta’s next is a revenge action love story led by Tiger Shroff and Janhvi Kapoor. It’s a script he had been working on for some time, and he wanted to have a fresh pairing. He told the story to Tiger and Janhvi and said they were both on board.”
This will mark Tiger’s return to the customary action vernacular but with a heavily weighted layer of romance and revenge, bringing together the best of both worlds. For Janhvi Kapoor, she continues her streak of versatile roles following Ulajh and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.
Why Lag Jaa Gale?
The title, which is taken from one of the most memorable Bollywood love songs, may sound lyrical; however, the movie is far from lyrical. The insider explained:
“We were contemplating various titles, but Lag Jaa Gale had the right emotional chord and fit the theme. The title is poetically ironic in comparison to the hard-hitting tone of the film—it’s a pure revenge action film with a significant love plot.”
Plans For Production & Release Schedule
It is expected the film will begin production at the end of 2025, and the team has indicated a setup for some great action.
“It’s a grand action movie for the big screen, and the producers are creating set pieces that show Tiger’s physicality, while drawing on Janhvi’s dimension,” the source added.
Lag Jaa Gale is expected to be released in cinemas in the second half of 2026, though the excitement is already building amongst fans of the stars and lovers of hard-hitting action-romance films!
