Netflix Doubles Down On Fan Favourites: Mismatched, Black Warrant, The Royals, And Maamla Legal Hai Renewed For New Seasons

Netflix delights fans by renewing Mismatched, Black Warrant, The Royals, and Maamla Legal Hai. Discover what's in store for each series.

Now it has fans shouting at the top of their lungs, “FINALLY!”
Netflix India is bringing back its biggest shows — Mismatched, Black Warrant, The Royals, and Maamla Legal Hai — for brand new seasons. Each of these series made their own mark in the OTT wilderness, and Netflix is betting big on already proven formats…with a little twist.

Mismatched Season 4: Dimple & Rishi’s Last Dance

If you have been a #DimRi fan since day one, get ready for this to be the last one. Mismatched S4 will be the final goodbye to one of India’s favourite Gen-Z love stories. RSVP Films’ producer Ronnie Screwvala has confirmed that the farewell will be “heartfelt, chaotic and emotional”.

Black Warrant Season 2: Prison Drama, Grit & Guts

Having won admirers (and hotly debated topics) with its realistic depiction of life within Tihar Jail, Black Warrant is back. Zahan Kapoor will reprise the role of Sunil Kumar Gupta. Creator Vikramaditya Motwane promises more ‘raw human stories, moral grey areas and emotional gut-punchers’.

The Royals Season 2: Glamour, Gossip and Guilty Pleasures

India’s answer to palace-set chaos is about to get even better. After trending globally in 58 countries, The Royals is coming back for a second season. The scope of the next season promises to offer more messy masks, midnight betrayals, and more champagne-fuelled drama. Creators Rangita and Ishita Pritish Nandy stated that the new season would be “bigger, bolder, and definitely more scandalous.”

Maamla Legal Hai Season 2: The Return of the Courtroom Chaos

Ravi Kishan, Naila Grewal, Nidhi Bisht and Anant Joshi return for a second season of laugh-out-loud chaos at Patparganj District Court. Of course, Maamla Legal Hai adds Bhojpuri legend Nirahua and the Internet’s favourite Kusha Kapila to the legal circus.

Netflix’s Tanya Bami quotes it best:

“They’ve all found a unique imprint in pop culture. I think for fans, it’s a homecoming!”

Box Office Worldwide Verdict

Netflix has cracked the code on desi engagement with a lineup that encompasses young love, dark reality, kingly glam and courtroom comedy. Despite being wildly different, these four shows encapsulate the complex new-age India — eccentric, multilayered and endlessly bingeable. In a streaming universe full of easily forgettable content, this is how to create cult classics. Netflix India isn’t just renewing shows; it’s re-establishing trust in Indian originals.

Now streaming? No. Now conquering.
