Rocking Star Yash’s long awaited big screen comeback just got a new date. Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, the Geetu Mohandas directed actioner mounted as a global play in both English and Indian languages, has been postponed from its earlier March 19 slot and will now arrive in cinemas worldwide on June 4, 2026.
The update, shared on March 4, 2026, comes via an official statement from KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations that makes it clear the decision was driven by release logistics, not creative delays.
The Latest Update
In the statement, the makers reiterated the film’s core ambition to travel wide and connect across territories: “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is a film we conceptualized with the vision to create cinema for a global audience. Filmed in Kannada and English, it is built with the conviction to connect with viewers both at home and across the world.”
They added that the team had been ready to unveil the film later this month, saying, “After years of dedicated labour, we were excited to share our film with you all on the 19th of March.” But the note underlined that market conditions, particularly across Gulf territories, forced a rethink: “However, the current uncertainty, especially in the Middle East, has created a situation that impacts our goal to reach and connect with the widest possible audience.”
The producers then confirmed the postponement decision in unambiguous terms: “Therefore, in the interest of our partners and our audience, we have made the difficult but carefully considered decision to reschedule our release.” The statement concluded with the new rollout plan: “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups will now be released in cinemas across the globe in English and Indian languages on 4th June 2026.”
What We Know About Toxic So Far
The film is directed by Geetu Mohandas and co written by Mohandas and Yash, who is also producing it alongside Venkat K. Narayana. With the new June date, the film shifts into a cleaner summer corridor for its global footprint, giving the team space to align partnerships and distribution across key overseas markets.
