Trade Supports Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan And Jawan Against Claims Of Self-Booking: ‘Have Full Faith In His Followers & Stardom’

Industry experts dismiss corporate booking claims for Pathaan and Jawan, crediting SRK’s stardom and loyal fanbase for their massive success.

Shah Rukh Khan’s box office dominance with Pathaan and Jawan has sparked debates about corporate booking. However, trade experts have shut down these claims, backing SRK’s genuine fan following and unmatched stardom.

Corporate booking has been a long-debated issue in the industry, especially when films achieve massive success. Some critics accused Pathaan and Jawan of inflating numbers through bulk bookings. But top journalists, including Himesh Mankad (Pinkvilla), Mayank Shekhar (Hindustan Times), and Rohit Khilnani (Bollywood Hungama), have dismissed these allegations.

Trade Experts Feel Pathaan And Jawan Didn’t Engage In Self-Booking

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Himesh Mankad made it clear that Pathaan did not engage in any self-booking tactics. He said the same for Jawan, explaining that no film can reach Rs 500 crore through artificial means. “I watched both films three times in theatres, and they were housefull every time,” he said, recalling that he even attended a Jawan screening at 7 a.m.

Mayank Shekhar supported this and shared his experience. He mentioned seeing a sign outside a theatre that read “Shah Rukh Khan Fans Association.” He argued that this was not self-booking but proof of SRK’s massive fanbase.

Rohit Khilnani also dismissed the claims, showing complete confidence in SRK’s popularity. He said,  “I have full faith in his followers and stardom that he can make this genuinely without corporate booking.”

Corporate Booking Claims Emerge From Fan Wars

Himesh further pointed out that both Pathaan and Jawan had clean box office runs. He said corporate booking allegations often come from fan wars, where rival groups try to downplay a film’s success.

Beyond expert opinions, audience reaction videos on YouTube have shown packed theatres, proving that the numbers were genuine. The organic craze surrounding SRK’s films is undeniable.
