Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri Release Strategy Revealed: Kartik Aaryan And Ananya Panday Film Seeks Fair Showcasing Amid Dhurandhar And Avatar Competition

Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday are bringing Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri to cinemas on December 25, and the film’s distribution team has revealed its screen-sharing strategy. With just two days left for release, the excitement is building up thanks to the film’s youthful vibe, music, and the pairing of two of Bollywood’s most popular young stars.

The film faces some serious competition at the box office. Dhurandhar is still going strong even after eighteen days, and Avatar Fire And Ash has grabbed several screens and shows across the country. Keeping these challenges in mind, Dharma Productions has devised a practical and fair showcasing plan.

The Screen Sharing Strategy Breakdown

Here is exactly what the distribution team of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri has requested from cinema owners. For single-screen theatres, they have asked for a minimum of two shows per day. This is a reasonable demand considering the film needs to find its audience during the busy holiday season.

For two-screen cinemas, the team wants five shows. Multiplexes with three screens should give six shows, while four-screen properties need to allocate eight shows. The numbers go up as the screen count increases. Five screen multiplexes are being asked to play twelve shows, six screen venues should give fourteen shows, and large multiplexes with seven or more screens need to provide sixteen shows daily.

Trade experts are calling these demands fair and modest. The team is clearly aware that they are releasing alongside two massive films, and they are not being unreasonable with their requests.

The Competition Is Fierce

The biggest challenge for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri is the continued dominance of Dhurandhar. Even after more than two weeks in theatres, the film is pulling huge crowds, especially during the Christmas holiday period. Families are still flocking to watch it, which means cinema owners are reluctant to reduce its shows.

Then there is Avatar Fire And Ash, which has taken up a large chunk of screens in multiplexes. The good news is that the Hollywood film did not get a release in single screens, so those theatres only need to divide shows between Dhurandhar and the romantic comedy. But even that is proving difficult.

Another major issue is runtime. Both Dhurandhar and Avatar Fire And Ash are over three hours long. This means fewer shows can be scheduled in a single day, making it harder to fit in a third film like Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.

Struggles With Advance Bookings

As of December 23 morning, bookings for Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri had only opened in multiplexes with four or more screens, and even there, only one screen per property was selling tickets. Single screens and smaller two and three-screen cinemas were still negotiating and had not started ticket sales yet.

This delay is reportedly happening because Dhurandhar continues to see strong demand. Cinema owners are hesitant to reduce shows for a film that is guaranteed to bring audiences, especially during the lucrative holiday season.

Industry Praises Karan Johar’s Practical Approach

Industry insiders are appreciating the practical approach taken by Karan Johar and his Dharma Productions team. Instead of forcing cinemas to give one hundred percent showcasing to their film, they have been reasonable and understood the ground reality.

The film features Kartik Aaryan, who is currently one of the most bankable young stars in Bollywood, and it belongs to the romantic comedy genre, which always has a strong audience. Cinema owners are being urged to give this film a fair chance to prove itself during the holiday weekend.
