Vampires Of Vijay Nagar: Ayushmann Khurrana & Rashmika Mandanna’s Horror Comedy Set To Roll In Mumbai This October – DEETS Inside!

Vampires of Vijay Nagar starts filming in Mumbai this October, blending modern-day North India with the historic Vijayanagara Empire.

Maddock Film’s horror-comedy universe is expanding with a fresh twist as Vampires of Vijay Nagar gears up for production. Building on the suspenseful finale of Stree 2, where Varun Dhawan’s character hints at blood-sucking creatures causing chaos in Delhi, the makers are ready to dive into this new project.

Vampires Of Vijay Nagar To Begin Filming In Mumbai From October

Director Aditya Sarpotdar is set to begin filming in Mumbai, with production scheduled to kick off in the first week of October.

Sources close to the development told mid-day that Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna will step into their roles by the third week of October.

This eagerly anticipated film will blend contemporary thrills with historical intrigue, featuring a narrative that shifts between modern-day North India and the ancient city of Vijayanagara.

Ayushmann Khurrana-Rashmika Mandanna’s Role & Plot Of The Film

In the initial phase of shooting, Sarpotdar will focus on scenes set in the present day. The production team is designing a set to reflect a typical North Indian town, where Ayushmann Khurrana will portray an adventure-loving, sports enthusiast.

Rashmika Mandanna, on the other hand, will take on a layered role, sporting a distinct look that is still under wraps. Look tests for her character are slated for the first week of September, adding to the buzz surrounding her appearance.

The film’s plot will also explore Vijayanagara, the capital of the Vijayanagara Empire during the 14th century, known today as Hampi. The historical backdrop promises to be a significant part of the story, bridging past and present in a unique narrative twist.

Sarpotdar, who recently enjoyed success with Munjya, has assembled a talented team for this project. Most of the crew from Munjya is returning, including production designers Subrata Chakraborty and Amit Ray, director of photography Saurabh Goswami, costume designer Sheetal Sharma, and writer Niren Bhatt.

Bhatt, known for his work on Bhediya (2022), Munjya, and Stree 2, has crafted a compelling backstory for Vampires of Vijay Nagar, ensuring that the horror-comedy will connect seamlessly with the broader cinematic universe.
