Made In India is the preliminary title for the project, which is claimed to be based on a genuine story. Hirani will debut his AD Karan Narvekar as a feature director with this film, which he co-wrote with Neeraj Singh of Nil Battey Sannata fame.
Despite the fact that the filming schedule for this Rajkumar Hirani-Varun Dhawan film hasn’t been set yet due to the Omicron virus’ uncertainty, the makers hope to release it in the second half of this year. Varun would only begin filming for this project after fulfilling his previous commitments, which include Sajid Nadiadwala’s feature with Nitesh Tiwari and Sriram Raghavan’s Arun Kheterpal biography. Varun is also reportedly in talks with Mohit Suri for a romantic thriller, though no one has confirmed anything yet. Varun is also rumoured to have inked a deal for Raj & DK’s worldwide thriller series Citadel, which will most likely begin production at the end of the year or in early 2023.

Meanwhile, Rajkumar Hirani’s eagerly awaited next film starring Shah Rukh Khan has been put back even further. The film was expected to start shooting in April 2022, but that doesn’t appear to be the case anymore, as his schedules have been thrown off by the production delays in two under-production vehicles, Pathan and the Atlee Kumar entertainer.
