Varun Dhawan, the dynamic Bollywood actor, has resumed shooting for his upcoming action entertainer. This film, referred to as VD18, is being eagerly anticipated by fans.
Varun Dhawan’s comeback to sets
After a brief hiatus due to a leg injury, Dhawan is back on set and ready to kick off the second schedule of Atlee’s action entertainer. The shooting is taking place in Mumbai. The actor’s return to the set marks a significant milestone in the production of this highly anticipated film.
The Film, VD 18 starring Varun Dhawan as police officer
VD18 is an action-packed drama that promises to captivate audiences with its compelling storyline, powerful performances, and high-octane action sequences. Dhawan will be seen in the role of a police officer, while South Indian sensation Keerthy Suresh and Jubilee actress Wamiqa Gabbi play the leading ladies.
Atlee, known for directing blockbusters like Theri, Mersal, Bigil, and Jawan, is presenting the film while his wife, Priya Atlee, is bankrolling it in association with Murad Khetani of Cine1 Studios. Tamil filmmaker Kalees, who has previously helmed Jiiva-starrer techno-thriller Kee, has been entrusted to direct this movie.
Second Shoot Schedule of VD18
The second schedule of shooting is planned in multiple locations and will see Varun and his leading lady, Keerthy Suresh, canning major dramatic and emotional scenes together. Some action sequences will also be filmed in this schedule that will run till around October 15th. The film is anticipated to be wrapped up by December, with a target of releasing it in theatres in May 2024.

It’s a long schedule planned in multiple locations and will see Varun and his leading lady, Keerthy Suresh, canning major dramatic and emotional scenes together. The makers will also be filming some action sequences in this schedule that will run till around October 15th,” a source close to the project exclusively told Pinkvilla.
After wrapping VD18, Varun Dhawan is set to start a big budget comedy actioner with his dad David Dhawan next year.
