Vicky Kaushal Starrer Sam Bahadur’s First Song ‘Badhte Chalo’ Is A Tribute To The Indian Army; Sure To Give You Goosebumps

The makers of ‘Sam Bahadur‘, the biopic of India’s first field marshal Sam Manekshaw, have released the first song from the film, titled ‘Badhte Chalo’. The song, composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and penned by Gulzar, is a motivational anthem that celebrates the courage and spirit of the Indian Army. The song features Vicky Kaushal, who plays the titular role.

The song showcases Sam Manekshaw as he leads his troops in various battles and operations. The song starts with a dialogue, “Wars padhna mera kaam hai aur unhe jeetna bhi” as he motivates his army men and prepares them for the war. The song also pays homage to the different regiments and units of the Army, by incorporating their unique war cries in the chorus. The song is sung by Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal Dadlani and Divya Kumar, who lend their powerful voices to the stirring lyrics.

The song was released on November 13, a day after Diwali, as a gift to the fans and the Army personnel. The song has received a positive response from the audience, who have praised the music, the visuals and the performances of the actors. The song has also been appreciated by the Army Chief General Manoj Pandey, who attended the trailer launch event of the film on November 7.

Sam Bahadur, Was Shot With Real-Life Army Personnel

Interestingly, the Meghna Gulzar directorial, does not feature any junior artists but real-life personnel of the armed forces and people from the defence force have been cast. Credits to Meghna’s attention to minute detailing and her attempt to keep things authentic in this biopic.

The trailer of Sam Bahadur has received positive response from the fans and critics alike, who praised Vicky Kaushal‘s look and performance as Sam Manekshaw. The actor has undergone extensive training and preparation for the role, which is evident from his resemblance to the real-life hero.

Sam Bahadur is directed by Meghna Gulzar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. The film is based on the life and achievements of Sam Manekshaw, who was the chief of the Army staff during the 1971 Indo-Pak war and the first Indian officer to be promoted to the rank of field marshal. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, and Fatima Sana Shaikh in pivotal roles. The film is slated to release on December 1, and will clash with Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal‘ at the box office.
