Vidyut Jammwal Lost All His Money After Crakk Failed At BO, Joined Circus To Go ‘Debt-Free’ In 3 Months

Vidyut Jammwal reveals how he recovered the loss caused by Crakk's failure at the box office. Check what the action star said!

Bollywood’s action star Vidyut Jammwal recently discussed the financial setback he faced after his film Crakk failed to make a mark at the box office earlier this year. Despite producing and starring in the action-packed thriller, which also featured Nora Fatehi, Amy Jackson, Arjun Rampal, and Jamie Lever, the movie did not meet expectations.

Vidyut Jammwal Reveals Joining A French Circus After Being Debted Due To Crakk Failure

In a candid interview with Zoom, Jammwal revealed the impact of the film’s underperformance, stating, “I lost a lot of money.” Determined to overcome this setback, he decided to disconnect from the barrage of advice and joined a French circus for a fortnight.

Describing his experience with the circus performers as transformative, Jammwal shared, “I spent time with elite human beings, including a contortionist who could bend their body to near-impossible levels. It was humbling.” This brief retreat helped him regain perspective, and upon returning to Mumbai, he found himself in a calmer state of mind.

Remarkably, within three months of Crakk’s release, Jammwal managed to clear his debts. Reflecting on this turnaround, he recounted, “When I returned, I sat down and strategised. I didn’t stress; I executed a game plan.”

According to him, his resilience and positive mindset were crucial in achieving financial stability again. “Everything got sorted. It’s a miracle,” he added.

Actor Says, ‘I Believe In People I Work With’

Addressing the ongoing industry conversation about producing budget-friendly films that deliver big at the box office, Jammwal shared insights from his producer’s perspective. Despite the financial setback with Crakk, he showed his trust in passionate collaborators. “I believe in the people I work with. If I entrust them with a task, I don’t question their capability,” he affirmed.

Crakk, directed by Aditya Datt, marked Jammwal’s reunion with his Commando 3 team. Released in February 2024 and later available on Disney+Hotstar in April, the film aimed to blend high-octane action with a gripping narrative but fell short commercially.
