Vidyut Jammwal SLAMS Hypocrisy, Questions Silence On KRK ‘Spewing Venom Against Country And Women’ While Backing Kunal Kamra

Vidyut Jammwal has questioned why Kunal Kamra and comedians get legal heat for satire while hateful remarks of people like KRK go unchecked.

Vidyut Jammwal is not staying silent and has spoken out against selective outrage, questioning why stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra faces legal trouble for satire while Kamaal R Khan (KRK) continues to make hateful remarks unchecked. His post has sparked fresh debates on accountability and free speech.

Vidyut Jammwal Calls Out Hypocrisy

Jammwal took to social media to express his frustration. He shared a thought-provoking post referencing the Bhagavad Gita and highlighting the double standards in how people react to controversial figures.

His post included a clip of Kamra’s act and past statements by KRK, who is known for his inflammatory remarks about India and women.

Quoting the Bhagavad Gita, Jammwal wrote, “GITA CHAPTER 2 VERSE 31 – ‘स्वधर्ममपि चावेक्ष्य न विकम्पितुमर्हसि। धर्म्याद्धि युद्धाच्छ्रेयोऽन्यत् क्षत्रियस्य न विद्यते॥’ MEANING – Kshatriya, you should not waver, for there is nothing more auspicious for a warrior than a RIGHTEOUS WAR.”

He continued, “Here is a man, taking refuge out of the country, drawing attention by spewing venom against the country and even worse, our women. No one stops to question his intent or mobilises to bring him down. But we will take a stand-up comedian to task for evoking strong emotions because of his act. Do we uphold the rights of politicians over our nation and our women?”

Ektaa Kapoor, Richa Chadha And Others Speak In Support

Vidyut Jammwal’s post quickly grabbed attention and many celebrities voiced their support. Producer Ektaa Kapoor commented, “Those who follow him enable him! Good on uuuuuuuu for calling him out.”

Singer Mansi Scott responded, “Well said Vidyut Jammwal.” Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee dropped hands-up emojis. Actress Richa Chadha (who has previously taken legal action against KRK) added, “I took him to court. Why can’t others?”

What Sparked The Debate?

The controversy started when Kamra performed a parody song at Mumbai’s Habitat Comedy Club, referring to an unnamed politician as a ‘gaddar’ (traitor). Though he didn’t take any names, members of the Shiv Sena saw it as an attack on Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. It was followed by legal action, fueling debates on freedom of speech.

Jammwal’s words have reignited the debate on selective accountability in entertainment and politics. Why do comedians face backlash while figures like KRK, who frequently make derogatory remarks, continue without consequences? The conversation is growing!
