Vijay Deverakonda And Rashmika Mandanna Take Legal Route Over Fake Posts And Online Harassment

The online chatter around Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna has now moved beyond fan wars and into legal territory. Their team has formally approached Hyderabad Cyber Crime authorities, alleging that fabricated claims, manipulated screenshots, impersonation and targeted harassment are being circulated online in a sustained attempt to damage the couple’s reputation.

Complaint Flags Fake Content And Harassment

A representative from the Virosh team submitted the complaint in person, along with links and supporting material for investigators to examine. The complaint argues that the issue is not criticism or opinion, but the deliberate packaging of false and misleading content as fact.

In the official statement, the team said, “While we fully respect freedom of speech, individual opinions and the right to express criticism, there is a clear distinction between expressing an opinion and presenting fabricated, manipulated or materially misleading claims as facts.”

The complaint also seeks an examination into whether any of the online material forms part of a coordinated or paid campaign. The team has made it clear that each instance of unlawful content creation, reposting or circulation will be pursued separately if required.

Backlash Escalated After Public Comments On Their Relationship

The latest flashpoint came after fresh conversations around the couple’s relationship spilled across social media. Rashmika responded with a strongly worded eight page note defending both her relationship and her family. In that statement, she wrote, “I am OBSESSED with my man. When did that become a bad thing?”

She also pushed back against what she described as bullying disguised as feminism, especially when the conversation dragged in people close to her. Vijay followed that with a blunt social media post that left little room for interpretation. He wrote, “My best friend, my wife, my woman. One of the most beautiful parts of my life that I got absolutely right ❤️. For all those concerned, We are both gloriously happy. I am blessed. If its me and her against the world, so be it ❤️. Big love to all those who celebrate love and the simplicity of living happily. ❤️ Now, with absolutely no intended kindness or respect, everyone else can go f**k themselves.:)) Deverakonda Vijay Sai.”

Why The Debate Snowballed

The renewed scrutiny gathered pace after comments made during a celebrity talk show appearance, where both spoke candidly about marriage and how their relationship evolved. What followed was a wave of online interpretation, resurfaced clips and commentary that their team now says crossed into fabricated narrative building rather than organic discussion.

The legal complaint marks the first concrete step from their side to draw a line between public curiosity and what they describe as malicious digital targeting.
