However, he is now eagerly awaiting the release of Atlee’s upcoming movie, Jawan, where he is said to portray a villainous character.
Vijay responds mischievously, refusing to disclose that information, stating, “I won’t reveal it, sir.” However, he shares that his role in the film is incredibly captivating and unlike any he has portrayed before. Vijay does not categorize his characters as either negative or positive, as he believes that every character is unique. Instead, he emphasizes the significance of comprehending the motivations behind a character’s behavior. According to Vijay, individuals are not purely good or bad; rather, it is the experiences and circumstances that shape their personalities, making them intriguing characters.
One of the notable aspects of working on Jawan for Vijay Sethupathi is the opportunity to act alongside Shah Rukh Khan. Vijay expresses that Shah Rukh Khan didn’t display any superstar attitude on the set and was incredibly humble and amiable. There was no hint of arrogance from him. Shah Rukh Khan proved to be a collaborative co-star, actively engaging in discussions about the scenes. Vijay appreciates the give-and-take environment while working. Additionally, Vijay mentions that they had language exchanges, where Shah Rukh Khan taught him some more Hindi while he, in turn, taught Shah Rukh Khan a bit of Tamil.

Vijay Sethupathi has great admiration for the director of Jawan, Atlee. Even though they haven’t worked together before, Vijay has known Atlee for a long time. He describes Atlee as a very talented director and believes that Jawan will pleasantly surprise the viewers, thanks to Atlee’s skills.
