The revelation that Bhushan Kumar’s most loyal lieutenant is resigning from T-Series after 27 years of service has set tongues spinning. Why did Bhanushali abruptly resign? Was there an altercation between him and the T-Series CEO?
Bhanushali told ETimes that he wants to progress in life. “I want to do a lot more on my professional front than I was doing until now. I have given my sweat to T-Series for 27 years, which is not a joke. The time had come for me to move on”.
“Well, I am going to make my own films. I want to be a producer now, not a co-producer. And I want to make commercial masala movies, not art or parallel cinema. I enjoy entertaining films and I shall make just those”.
While talking about the risk that he is taking by turning a producer, Bhanushali said, “I am confident that I will earn more money in my journey ahead. By the way, a co-producer gets only credits and no money.”
Vinod also claimed that he and Bhushan had no differences when he put in his papers. “No rift with Bhushan Kumar,” he said, adding, “Obviously I can’t tell him that I should be a producer on the films he’s producing. It would have been ethically wrong and I didn’t want to do anything unethical. Based on my gut and skill, I would rather helm the film on my own”.
Officially, Bhanushali’s last day at work is today. Bhushan and Kishan Kumar are hosting a send-off luncheon at the T-Series office. One thing is certain: the man leaving T-Series has a script and some actors lined up to launch his new venture. But he keeps it a secret for now.
