Vivek Agnihotri, whose film ‘The Kashmir Files’ did well at the box office this year, will helm his next film, which will focus on the COVID-19 vaccine programme in India and the rumours and challenges surrounding it. The vaccination effort also happens to be the biggest immunisation campaign ever. The title of the film is ‘The Vaccine War’.
Vivek Agnihotri informed his followers on social media on Wednesday that he is prepared to begin filming the movie. The director posted on his Twitter account, “GM. We live for new things. New happiness. New laughters. New challenges. Yet, we feel comfortable in the old & established and stick to it. This contradiction gives suffering. Fastest and surest way to find happiness: Jump into uncertainty. The unknown.”

It is claimed that “The Vaccine War” is a testimony to the tireless efforts and commitment of the scientific and medical communities. Given how important this topic is, particularly in the post-pandemic era, Vivek Agnihotri spent about a year conducting research and compiling the information.
The film’s story was created on 3200 pages by 82 writers, who worked on it day and night. The study team had encounters with actual scientists and those responsible for the creation of the vaccine. The movie will depict the pressure that foreign governments put on Indian experts.
The release of “The Vaccine War” is planned for August 15, 2023, the day of India’s Independence. More than ten languages, including Hindi, English, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bhojpuri, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, and Bengali, would be available for the movie’s release, according to producer Pallavi Joshi.
