Two major films clashing at the box office is not a new phenomenon. This has been happening in the past with a varied end result. Now, there is a new set of films that are eying on the same date for a theatrical release. According to reports, Vivek Agnihotri‘s The Vaccine War is planning to release on 28 September this year. Prashanth Neel’s upcoming action thriller Salaar, starring Prabhas is also going to release on the same date.
If their makers actually decide to lock that date, then we might get to see one of the biggest box-office fights in recent times. Earlier, Vivek’s much talked about film The Kashmir Files had clashed with Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam on 11 March last year. While The Kashmir Files was a major success, Radhe Shyam also went on to become the second highest-grossing Telugu film of 2022.

The Vaccine War is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and stars Anupam Kher, Nana Patekar, Raima Sen, and Sapthami Gowda. It chronicles the story of how Indian vaccines, Covaxin and Covisheild were made during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire, on the other hand, is a Telugu action thriller film directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame. Its teaser was released today and has been loved by everyone. The film stars Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu and Tinnu Anand, etc.
