The shoot of Hrithik Roshan’s highly anticipated dance face-off with Jr NTR in War 2 has been postponed. The actor suffered a leg injury during rehearsals. Doctors have advised him to rest for four weeks. Due to this, the dance sequence will now be shot in May.
Hrithik Roshan Suffers Major Leg Injury While War 2 Dance Rehearsals
Hrithik gave his all during rehearsals for the high-energy song. A source told Bollywood Hungama, “Hrithik really pushed himself during rehearsals for this energetic song with NTR Jr. He got a niggle in his leg that was quite uncomfortable. When doctors checked, they advised him to rest before shooting this massive song!”
The film’s release remains unaffected despite the delay in the song shoot. War 2 is still set to hit cinemas on August 14, 2025. The source confirmed that all key actors have completed their shoots. Post-production is already in progress.
About This War 2 Dance Sequence
The idea of a dance showdown between Hrithik and NTR Jr came from producer Aditya Chopra. Both actors are known for their dance skills, making this sequence a major highlight. Director Ayan Mukerji and choreographer Bosco Martis have designed the scene to be a visual spectacle.
Earlier, a source earlier told Mid-Day that Aditya Chopra wanted War 2 to have intense action but also highlight Hrithik and Jr NTR’s dancing skills. The sequence begins with Hrithik’s character Kabir Dhaliwal tracking down the villain played by NTR. This leads to a high-energy dance battle that builds up to the final action showdown.
To ensure a natural on-screen rivalry, both actors have been rehearsing separately for two weeks.
War 2 is the latest addition to Yash Raj Films’ Spy Universe, which has delivered blockbusters like Pathaan and Tiger 3. Ayan Mukerji is directing the sequel and fans can expect a blend of intense action as well as stylish storytelling from it.
