Nineteen years after Welcome turned Uncha Lamba Kad into a dance floor staple, Akshay Kumar has brought the hook back with a jungle sized spin. The recreated track, titled Ucha Lamba Kad Forever, has arrived from Welcome To The Jungle, and nostalgia is only half the story.
The original Welcome song released in 2007 with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, while the new version places that familiar energy inside Ahmed Khan’s big ensemble entertainer. Akshay announced the track with the line, “You heard it once and you’re still obsessed… now bringing that vibe into the jungle ‘Ucha Lamba Kad Forever’ Out Now”.
Ucha Lamba Kad Forever Brings Back The Welcome Hook
The recreated number has been sung by Anand Raj Anand and Rubai. It features fresh lyrics by Meggha Bali along with the original lyrics by Sameer, while Vikram Montrose has recreated the music. The music video is available on the Junglee Music and Times Music channels.
Composer Vikram Montrose said, “The original Ucha Lamba Kad holds a special place in the hearts of Bollywood music lovers. The challenge was to retain that nostalgia while giving it a fresh identity that fits the energy of Welcome To The Jungle. We wanted audiences to instantly reconnect with the song and at the same time discover something new.”
Lyricist Meggha Bali added, “Songs like these come with a legacy and an emotional connection for audiences. Our effort was to celebrate everything people loved about the original while adding a contemporary flavour that speaks to today’s listeners.”
Akshay Kumar Goes Maximalist For The Jungle Party
Akshay’s styling in the track leans into earthy browns, black, denim and bold accessories. In one standout look, he pairs brown dhoti pants with a loose brown layer featuring exaggerated sleeves, topping it with a cowboy hat, tinted shades, metallic handgear, oxidised rings, a low neck chain and a waist chain that gives the frame its boldest fashion twist.
He also appears in a buttoned down black shirt with faded blue denim, followed by a denim on denim switch with blue tinted frames, a dramatic neck chain, wrist scarf and sneakers.
Welcome To The Jungle Cast And Release Details
Welcome To The Jungle is directed by Ahmed Khan and is scheduled for theatrical release on June 26, 2026. The film is presented by A.A. Nadiadwala, Cape of Good Films and Star Studio18 in association with Seeta Films and Rakesh Dang, with Firoz A. Nadiadwallah producing. The ensemble brings together Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade and Rajpal Yadav. The film continues the franchise’s comic chaos with a large scale family entertainer built around confusion, spectacle and star power.

Akshay Kumar has moved across genres in his recent slate, including Sky Force, Kesari Chapter 2, Housefull 5 and Jolly LLB 3 in 2025.
