Ahmed Khan is all set to take Welcome To The Jungle to its next big stop, Kashmir. The director started shooting the film in December 2023. But with so many actors in the cast, lining up their schedules has been tough.
Welcome To The Jungle Gears Up For Next Schedule
Now, the team is getting ready to shoot in Kashmir. After that, they will head abroad for an international schedule. The film is likely to wrap by the second half of 2025 and release in theatres in 2026.
Speaking to Mid-Day, Khan said, “I’m planning my schedule now because there are so many actors, and we have to bring all of them together. They are all very busy. But the good thing is that they are all excited about this movie. We have an international schedule as well.”
Ahmed Khan On Unpredictability At The Box Office
Khan knows how unpredictable the box office has become. Big-budget films are failing to make an impact, and every film now needs to cater to all types of viewers, from the north to the south, and from single screens to multiplexes.
The director pointed out how the game has changed. In the past, audiences had different films for different genres. Now, one film has to do everything. He explained, “Also, people are saying that films are not doing well. But last year, five films earned Rs 500 crore each. We never dreamt that our industry would make Rs 500 crore! Now, films are expected to make Rs 700 crore to be called a success. When I’m making my film, the fear is definitely there. But we have to survive here.”
Filmmaker Confident About Welcome To The Jungle
Even with all the pressure, Khan feels confident about Welcome To The Jungle. He believes the film has what it takes to pull audiences back to theatres. He said, “Comedies bring people together. Big cast, big scale, great music and laughter will bring people back to cinemas.”
The film boasts a stellar ensemble including Suniel Shetty, Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Aftab Shivdasani, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Johnny Lever, Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Kiku Sharda, Krushna Abhishek, Mika Singh, Daler Mehndi, Zakir Hussain, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma and Sayaji Shinde in key roles.
