Welcome to the Jungle is going full-scale spectacle for Suniel Shetty. The comedy caper’s team is preparing to head to Dubai in May to shoot the actor’s elaborate entry sequence, a set piece mounted on a lavish scale and staged at sea.
For a film packed with familiar faces and franchise recall, that introduction carries real weight. The makers are designing Shetty’s arrival as one of the standout moments in the next schedule, with Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever and Rajpal Yadav also joining the stretch that pushes the ensemble’s madcap energy into blockbuster territory.
Dubai Shoot Plans A High-Voltage Entry
The sequence will be shot over three days in mid-May, with Shetty’s character making his entrance aboard a 200-foot yacht equipped with a helipad. The action unfolds mid-sea, with Shetty and Warsi arriving by helicopter before joining the rest of the gang.
Producer Firoz A Nadiadwala has underlined how important this segment is to the film’s larger design. “It’s one of the most important scenes in the movie. The team also felt that only Dubai suited the ambience and mood we wanted for this universal family entertainer,” he said.
Shetty has also spoken about his excitement for the schedule in a city he has long shared a visible connection with. “We will be shooting a grand sequence there in May. I am very excited to work with Firoz bhai,” the actor said.
The staging gives a clear sense of how Welcome to the Jungle wants to play to the gallery. In a franchise built on flamboyance, confusion and oversized characters, an entrance mounted on a yacht with a helicopter arrival fits the tone perfectly.
Why This Sequence Matters For Welcome To The Jungle
Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala and Jyoti Deshpande, Welcome to the Jungle is the latest chapter in the Welcome franchise and remains under production. The film is currently scheduled for a theatrical release on June 26, 2026.
Its sprawling cast includes Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Paresh Rawal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade. Positioned as a large-scale comedy entertainer, the film appears to be leaning heavily into the franchise’s familiar mix of mayhem, mistaken identities and star-driven chaos.
Suniel Shetty’s Recent And Upcoming Work
In recent years, Shetty has balanced nostalgia-led commercial appearances with digital work. His notable OTT outing remains Hunter Tootega Nahi Todega in 2023, where he played ACP Vikram Chauhan. He was also seen in Ruslaan in 2024 in a special appearance, followed by Nadaaniyan and Kesari Veer in 2025.
Among his confirmed upcoming theatrical projects, Welcome to the Jungle is one of the most prominent. At this stage, the film fits neatly into a career phase where Shetty is returning to high-visibility mainstream entertainers while continuing to tap into the familiarity and ease that have kept him a durable screen presence.
