In the middle of fake news and communal threats recently another hashtag went viral on Twitter. An image was surfing on the internet where Shah Rukh Khan can be seen as 18th century Mysore ruler Tipu Sultan. The netizens started calling for a boycott of a nonexistent film.
It turns out that the poster has been created by a fan that went viral on an imaginary film supposedly titled ‘Sher-e-Mysore: Tippu Sultan, India’s First Freedom Fighter’. Tipu has been misspelled in the title. Tipu Sultan was aka Tiger of Mysore, was Emporer of Mysore in 17 century.
When the media checked facts about the film and the poster they no such project existing or will be in work in the near future.
