Yami Gautam To Start Shooting For Behzad Khambata ‘A Thursday’ Sequel? Details Inside!

There is a rumour going around that a sequel to ‘A Thursday’ is currently under work.

‘A Thursday’, a film by Behzad Khambata, has completed one year of its release. The movie premiered on Disney+ Hotstar one year back in which Yami Gautam played the lead role of Naina Jaiswal, a kind teacher at a nursery school.  The story revolves around her as she goes through the routine of educating the students with love, but one day, out of the blue, she kidnaps 16 of them, leaving everyone astonished including her husband Rohit (Karanvir Sharma). Naina makes a number of demands, one of which is a meeting with Dimple Kapadia, who played the role of India’s Prime Minister in the movie. 

‘A Thursday’ truly ends up being a movie with a strong and relevant social message that was well received by the OTT audience.

There is a rumour going around that a sequel to ‘A Thursday’ is under work as the movie celebrates its first year of release. Rumors regarding the second installment of the thriller with a social message are undoubtedly spreading, despite the fact that no one connected with the project has officially confirmed the information.

According to Bollywood Hungama, In 2022, Yami stated in an interview, “Through cinema which is such a powerful medium, if you get a chance, if you get a script which in its own way is engaging you as an audience and at the same time talking to you just almost like one to one then they stand out and for me, That’s what happened when I read ‘A Thursday’ when it came to me and it became more than just a film; more than just a role and it was one of the heaviest films for me.”

Yami Gautam starrer ‘A Thursday’ movie was produced by RSVP and Blue Monkey films which also starred Neha Dhupia, Atul Kulkarni, Kalyanee Mulay and Boloram Das in pivotal roles.
