Fans of Prabhas and Yash are in for a treat as the two superstars are reportedly set to share screen space in the upcoming action thriller Salaar. The film, directed by Prashanth Neel, who also helmed the KGF franchise, has been creating a lot of buzz among the audience ever since it was announced.
While the makers have not officially confirmed Yash’s cameo in Salaar, singer Theertha, who has lent her voice for a song in the film, accidentally spilled the beans during a recent interview.

During a media interaction post winning a singing competition in Kerala, Theertha let it slip that she’s singing for Salaar, which also stars ‘Yash uncle.’ She unintentionally mentioned that Yash will be a part of Salaar, which made many believe that she confirmed his cameo in the film like many had expected.
According to rumours, Yash will reprise his role as Rocky from the KGF films, and will have a five-minute scene with Prabhas in Salaar. It is said that the director made some changes to the script to accommodate Yash’s character, and the actor agreed to do the cameo as a goodwill gesture to Prabhas and Neel. The fans of both the actors are eagerly waiting to see their collaboration on the big screen, and are expecting a blockbuster opening for the film.

Child artist Theertha retracts and clarifies Yash’s cameo in Salaar
But later clarifying the same, the Kannada child artist shared a note on social media that read, “I have seen the KGF movie many times. When the opportunity arose, my father had said that Salaar’s music and stuff was the KGF team. So I had in my mind that Yash uncle will also be in Salaar. It was in that one seat that the bait said. I said it wrong and left.”
Salaar, which is produced by Hombale Films, also stars Shruti Haasan, Prithviraj Sukumaran and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles. The film will be released in two parts, with the first part titled Salaar: The Ceasefire, slated to hit the theatres on December 22, 2023. The film will be dubbed in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi languages.
