Bollywood’s power couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have finally unveiled their wedding video on the first episode of Koffee With Karan season 8. For the show, the couple twinned in black. While Deepika wore a stunning black dress, Ranveer on the other hand, looked handsome in a black shirt and matching pants.
The video, which was shot by The Wedding Filmers, the same team who filmed the wedding sequence in Deepika’s 2013 hit Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, has a special connection with the film.

Deepika-Ranveer’s wedding video out on KWK 8
The video, which was premiered on Karan Johar’s popular chat show, showed some adorable moments from Deepika and Ranveer’s wedding, which took place in 2018 at the picturesque Villa del Balbianello in Lake Como, Italy. The video also featured bytes from their families talking about the couple and their relationship.
The video started with Ranveer giving a toast at his wedding and saying that he had once said that he would marry Deepika Padukone and the day had finally come. He also thanked her for being his “everything”. The video then showed glimpses of their wedding ceremonies, including the Konkani and Sindhi rituals, as well as their reception parties. The video also had some candid moments of the couple dancing, laughing, and enjoying with their friends and family.
Deepika said, “I was attracted to the person, most of the world had not seen. There is a quite side to him, there is a very intelligent side to him, there is a very sensitive side to him. I love the fact that he cries. When all the ceremonies were done, something changed.”

According to The Wedding Filmers, Deepika had asked them to capture her wedding during the shooting of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. She had said, “When the time comes for my wedding, I’d be honored if you would be the one to capture it.” They also revealed that the video was not just a documentation of their wedding day, but rather a tale of love, trust, and commitment.
The wedding video was shot by The Wedding Filmer, who captured the wedding sequence in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani. “During the filming of “Kabira” for Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani, I had the honor of directing her. On a crisp evening, amidst rounds of Pictionary by the poolside with the crew, she leaned in and said softly, “When the time comes for my wedding, I’d be honoured if you would be the one to capture it.” I was taken aback, a blush creeping up unnoticed. She held onto that sentiment, gently reminding me of that whispered promise during her wedding film’s screening years later,” the team captioned the video.

The wedding video left the fans of ‘Deepveer’ emotional and awestruck. Many took to social media to express their love and admiration for the couple and their fairy-tale wedding. Some also pointed out the similarities between their wedding video and the song ‘Kabira’ from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are one of the most loved and celebrated couples in Bollywood. They have worked together in several films, such as Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, Bajirao Mastani, Padmaavat, and 83. They were last seen together in a film based on the life of Kapil Dev and his wife Romi Bhatia. They will also be seen in Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again but as separate cop characters.
