Kangana Ranaut is facing tough times at box office for last few years. Except Manikarnika, almost every film of her bite dust at box office. Her last solo releases Chandramukhi 2 and Dhaakad were massive disaster, her multilingual release Thalaivi was below par too. Judgmental Hai Kya, Simran, Pangaa, Rangoon, Katti Batti were massive disappointments too.
Tejas Is Struggling With Poor Advance Booking At Box Office
Going by its dismal advance bookings and zero hype, the trade has already declared the film a washout even before the release.
The film has not sold even 6000 tickets in the National Chain of Multiplexes (PVR, INOX, and Cinepolis) till now and the film is scheduled to release tomorrow. Trade experts say that a 2-3 crore net opening for this film will be termed a miracle.
Following are the advance booking in national chains by 11:30 Pm Midnight on Thursday for day one:
PVR + Inox: 4000
Cinepolis: 1400
Total: 5400 tickets
Last week’s release sold 8500 tickets by end of Thursday and opened at 2.50 cr nett day one. At the moment even that number seems difficult for Kangana Ranaut starrer.
Following are the box office prediction for the film going by the trends of advance booking:
Day 1: 2.50 cr
Weekend: 7 cr
Lifetime: 15 cr
Stale Politics Of Kangana Is Hurting The Film More
Kangana has been relentlessly promoting the film on various platforms and also trying to grab the attention of certain right-wingers by praising Prime Minister Modi as an incarnation of God. She has shown her film to BJP ministers like Rajanth Singh. She is also posting images of herself with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval.

One can only hope that Kangana’s strategies draw audiences to theaters on the opening day. If positive word-of-mouth begins to circulate, “Tejas” may have a chance to at least achieve some respectable numbers during its theatrical run.
