Director Vidhu Vinod Chopra has dropped the highly anticipated teaser for Zero Se Restart, the prequel to his successful biographical drama 12th Fail.
Released on November 13, the two-minute teaser invites viewers to reconnect with their childhood ambitions and question whether they are still on the path they once dreamed of.

In the teaser, Chopra encourages the audience to revisit their “zero” moments — the times in life when they first dared to dream big. He urges everyone to reflect on the pure, untainted goals they had as children, whether it was becoming a doctor, an actor, an engineer, or an IAS officer.
“Let’s go back to that first dream, the one we probably forgot. Let’s go back to zero again and meet our lost selves,” Chopra says in Hindi, prompting introspection and a rush of nostalgia.
Chopra speaks on the harsh realities of life, highlighting how many of those childhood dreams often get buried under the weight of adulthood’s complexities. In the teaser, his message is clear: no matter how life’s struggles cloud our ambitions, it’s never too late to rediscover the passion and dreams we once had.

The teaser concludes with a powerful scene from 12th Fail, where Vikrant Massey’s character, Manoj Kumar Sharma, nervously checks his exam results. This was a reminder of the challenges that ordinary dreamers face. It ties back to Chopra’s broader message about striving for success despite the odds.
