The excitement has been heightened for director Atlee’s next pan-India epic featuring Allu Arjun.
As reported, Ananya Panday has officially joined the film reportedly slated to be called AA22 X A6. The action-drama is produced by Sun Pictures and Geetha Arts and promises to be the biggest collaboration of 2025.
It’s also believed that Ananya is joined by Mrunal Thakur and Janhvi Kapoor, making this really an ensemble of three women led by powerhouse female representations. While it was previously speculated that Deepika Padukone was contacted for this role.
Ananya Panday Enters the Pan-India Space
Ananya Panday is still riding high on acclaim for her role in Kesari Chapter 2, and it is theorised that this is going to be the largest film of her career. With Atlee directing and Allu Arjun leading from the front, Ananya’s entry into Telugu cinema marks a turning point in her pan-India appeal.
Ananya has also edged herself into the slew of Bollywood actors shifting into the Telugu and pan-Indian space.
Allu Arjun’s Transformation is Underway
Surprisingly, AA22 X A6 has already begun early prep work. Allu Arjun was seen in Mumbai at Mehboob Studios, Bandra, for a look test and concept art shoot. Reports indicate that the Pushpa star will be represented in multiple avatars, and the production team is doing lots of pre-visualisation.
If that all sounds familiar, that’s because director Atlee has a history with multi-character high-concept dramas, as evidenced by Jawan, where Shah Rukh Khan was cast in two roles opposite multiple leading ladies.
Atlee’s Signature Return
After Jawan’s blockbuster run, Atlee is back to work with a bigger canvas and a National Award-winning actor in Allu Arjun. The film is set to feature a lot of Atlee’s flair for combining mass action, stylistic visuals, and heavy emotional drama.
While little is known about the story, sources close to the film have indicated it will present a story with a parallel narrative and multiple protagonists.
The Film’s Central Vision
The film is produced by Sun Pictures and Geetha Arts and is now set to go to floors in late 2025. With the talent attached and scale, the film is likely to be a box office juggernaut when it opens.
