Many Bollywood blockbusters and pan-Indian projects are likely to restart filming shortly as the limitations are eased. Prabhas’ Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, is one such project that would begin shooting in mid-June. However, according to insiders, the film would not be shot in Hyderabad as previously intended, but rather in Mumbai.
This leaves the actor with no choice but to abandon his plans to finish Prashanth Neel’s Salaar, which was set to be shot in Hyderabad.
Prabhas will have completed as much of the Salaar filming as feasible by then. Director Neel also intends to complete the full shot of this pan-Indian project in a few months and concentrate on post-production.
Meanwhile, director Om Raut will wrap up all aspects of the film including Saif Ali Khan, who plays Lankesh. The filming of Adipurush had begun before the second lockdown was implemented, and the crew had completed 25% of the filming. Along with Saif Ali Khan and Prabhas, the film also stars Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh.
