Story:
Ghoomketu is a film that found it’s way to our screens after a long time. The movie is now released on Zee5. It is a story based on the life of a writer named Ghoomketu (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) who’s struggling in Mumbai to make his way to Bollywood.
He applies for a job at a newspaper at his town and his editor suggests that he should try screenwriting in Mumbai. Thus, his story of leaving for Mumbai and starting to find work begins.
Direction:
Director Pushpendra Nath Misra kept it simple in the film, whick kind of suits the type of film this is. There’s nothing extraordinary that we can talk about.
Performance:
Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ghoomketu did his part well but it was the script that didn’t let his acting bring the charm in the film. A weak script can’t be saved even with outstanding acting. Although, cameos by Amitabh Bachchan, Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh, Chitrangada Singh and Nikhil Advani feels like a fresh air in the movie. Also, Anurag Kashyap as Police officer did his part well. Other characters were okay too.
Music:
None of the songs in the film are going to have a long run in our life for sure. They do not connect us with the movie. Background music is fine.
Verdict:
If you’re wondering that Ghoomketu is your this weekend’s treat, then you should skip the thought about it.
