Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff starrer ‘War’ started with a bang and collected huge week one total propelled by big national holiday. Film broke jinx of 2nd October as no release in last decade or so on this date managed to come out winner.
Film collected huge day one 51.60 cr nett followed by 159.70 cr nett 5- day weekend. Film clocked mammoth 238.35 cr nett in first week (9 days). Weak flow of releases meant it continued to add sizeable number of 49.65 cr nett in 2nd week followed by 21.35 cr nett in 3rd week.
Film collected one 4th week despite big releases as it was left with only 535 screens. Film added 36 lacs on Friday, 66 lacs on Saturday and 69 lacs on Sunday. Film jumped on Monday holiday with 1.11 cr followed by 96 lacs on Tuesday, 76 lacs on Wednesday and 60 lacs on Thursday.
Film collected 5.32 cr nett in 4th week. ‘War’ has total of 300.14 cr nett in Hindi version and 14.53 cr nett in Tamil & Telugu. Film has All India total of 314.67 cr nett which makes it highest ever grosser for Tiger as well as Hrithik and 3rd triple century for YRF. It has also crossed All India collection of ‘Saaho’.
War also collected 94.01 cr (13.270 million $) in overseas and should end with 100 cr total. Film is nearing 500 cr gross worldwide by end of its run. Overall a blockbuster and new franchise is in offering.
