After the coronavirus pandemic followed by lockdown, many filmmakers turned to OTT platforms to release their films. Recently, Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani’s Laxmii also made its way to streaming platform Disney+ Hotstar.
However, Akshay Kumar starrer released in theatres overseas [U.A.E, Australia, New Zealand and Fiji] with limited capacity.
Since the theatres in India are out of work from March amid the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic, Laxmii makers have also decided to release their film on the digital platform.
Now after the government’s new guidelines, theatres are opening up on 50% capacity in many states in India. While to gather audiences some previous films are hitting the theatres and only a few new releases will happen on the big screen.
The box office collection of Australia is now 1,421 USD [Rs. 1.04 lacs] from 18 screens. From New Zealand box office collection is 985 USD [Rs. 72,682] from 11 screens
