After 8 years of Ek Villain, Ek Villain Returns gears up for a theatrical release on 29th July 2022. The film stars John Abraham, Arjun Kapoor, Disha Patani, and Tara Sutaria.
Ek Villain Returns has a few things working for it – chartbuster music, the sequel of a hit film, recall of a hit song from the prequel and a young star cast. Almost all these things worked for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also earlier this year.
The film is releasing in a good period when there is not much competition at the box office from any holdover release of Bollywood, Hollywood and South industry. It has some pre-release buzz and its advances opened today after it was postponed from Sunday to Wednesday.
This is massy film and Friday will see more on-the-spot sales than advances but still, there is some sort of movement in advances, especially at smaller centers.
The film should sell tickets in the range of 10k by tomorrow evening which will be a fair result.
As per early trends, the film should open at 6.75-7.25 cr nett day one and that will be a huge result considering recent bloodshed at the box office with a string of flops. Anything above 6 cr nett on day one will be a good result and then Saturday growth will mark the acceptance of content.
