Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao and Varun Sharma film Roohi finally arrived in the theatres. The film was the first major release after the coronavirus pandemic and lockdown.
First day of the film went surprisingly well and it managed to collect 2.15 crore plus on Thursday.
However, according to the data from national multiplex chains and single screens suggest that the film has comfortably crossed the Rs 2.50 crore. It has also been reported that it is rather flirting with Rs 3.00 crore at the box-office.
It seems the film has opened the door for cinemas for the audience. The film came as a ray of hope for the film distributors, theatre owners and filmmakers to release their film on the big screen.
Produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jio Studios, Roohi released on nearly 2500 plus screens. Roohi received mixed reviews from the critics. It is however expected that the film’s second day collection will be comparatively less since Thursday saw a push due to Mahashivratri holiday.
