Following the Maharashtra government’s recent announcement that it aims to reopen theatres, various filmmakers and producers are already busy scheduling their films’ release dates. Next year appears to be jam-packed, with Ajay Devgn’s MayDay and Tiger Shroff’s Heropanti 2 battling it out at the box office.
Almost all of the major film releases, including MayDay and Heropanti 2, have been revealed. The release of the films has piqued the interest of fans. However, both films will be released on the same day during the Eid weekend next year.
For the uninitiated, Heropanti 2 is the sequel of the 2014 film Heropanti, which featured Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon and was directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. MayDay, on the other hand, is a forthcoming thriller directed and produced by Ajay Devgn. Along with Amitabh Bachchan and Rakul Preet Singh, he also appears in the film. It will be released in theatres over the Eid weekend next year. While Ajay Devgn will be featured in the character of a pilot, Amitabh’s part is still unknown.
As a result, despite the fact that both films are of a distinct genre, MayDay features veteran performers like Bachchan and Devgn, whereas Heropanti 2 features newcomers. Based on the recent bad reviews of Bhuj and jaded cast , Tiger Shroff starrer looks fresh and safer bet as mass action dance entertainer, we will undoubtedly see more footfall for the actor’s film.
