Gippy Grewal is one of the biggest stars in the Punjabi film industry. The actor-singer has done several successful films in his career. His recent outing, Carry On Jatta 3, was released on 29 June. It has now become the highest-grossing Punjabi film in India’s history. Here is a breakdown of its numbers in its extended first week.
1st Week
Thursday: 10 cr 12 lakh
Friday: 10 cr 72 lakh
Saturday: 12 cr 32 lakh
Sunday: 13 cr 40 lakh
Monday: 6 cr 70 lakh
Tuesday: 5 cr 40 lakh
Wednesday: 4 cr 70 lakh

2nd Week:
Friday: 3 cr 90 lakh
Overseas: 32 cr
Total: 70 cr 36 lakh
In around eight days, Carry On Jatta 3 has minted a whopping 70.36 crores at the worldwide box office. Out of this, 32 crores is from the overseas market. The film has surpassed the number of its own predecessor Carry On Jatta 2 which was 61.50 crores. Carry On Jatta 3 will soon reach the 100 crore club at the worldwide box office in its lifetime run.
If that happens, the film will become the highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time. This stature is currently given to Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan’s Pakistani Punjabi film The Legend of Maula Jatt. The film grossed around $11 million globally.
