The much anticipated Rohit Shetty directorial Sooryavanshi has been awaiting a release since last year. The film not only stars Akshay Kumar in the leading role, but also has special appearances by Ajay Devgn as Singham and Ranveer Singh as Simmba to create the Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.
We have now learnt some interesting exclusive details about the release of the film.
A source close to the studio exclusively informed Box Office Worldwide that Reliance Entertainment has started talking to the exhibitors confirming the release date of 15th August 2021 for Sooryavanshi. The team as of now is waiting for Rohit Shetty to be back from Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 11 shoot from Cape Town; meanwhile also hoping that all India theaters shall be allowed to reopen from July.
Reliance Entertainment has also put forward their terms and conditions with the exhibitors that the company will not be bearing any VPF charges as post-lockdown it should be a new norm to reduce the burden on producers. Also sharing percentage will be 60% for the 1st week, 50% for the 2nd week & 40% for the 3rd week and onwards which in pre covid era was 50% for the 1st week, 40% for the 2nd week and 30% for the 3rd week and onwards.
