Bellbottom, which was released last week, received rave reviews from critics and favourable response from the audience. However, due to the Covid-19 restrictions and the film’s mid-week release, attendance at theatres was minimal. Despite this, the film’s business increased during the weekend, with the Onam and Rakshabandan holidays favouring the film’s success.

However, similar to films produced prior to the Covid era, Bellbottom saw a drop in box office collections on its first Monday in theatres. In fact, Bellbottom only made 2 cr nett on its first Monday which is 55 percent decrease than that of Sunday collection. Even on Tuesday, the film saw a drop by collecting 1.55 cr at the BO.
Given this, Bellbottom’s possibilities of sustaining business over a longer period, combined with a further easing of Covid-19 limits, will almost certainly result in collections around Rs. 45 crore.
Here’s what the day wise breakdown looks like –
Thursday Day 1 – 2.75 cr nett
Friday Day 2 – 2.75 cr nett
Saturday Day 3 – 3 cr nett
Sunday Day 4 – 4.50 cr nett
Monday Day 5 – 2 cr nett
Tuesday Day 6 – 1.55 cr nett
