Kartik Aaryan‘s Chandu Champion opened its advance bookings on Sunday and it released today on 14th June. Jointly produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, the film is poised to make significant waves in the entertainment industry.
Kartik Aaryan Starrer Sports Biopic Opens Around 5 Crore Nett
Chandu Champion opened to glowing reviews today as critics praised honesty of Kartik’s performance and Kabir Khan’s crafty direction. But multiplex flavour of the film meant poor business in mass centres. Film is very metro centric and that reflected in sluggish collection. Also ₹ 150 pricing kept the numbers low as it didn’t push walk ins in any significant way.
Film collected close to 3.10 crore gross in national chains on day one which means a strictly average 5.40 crore nett all India number.

PVR + Inox: 2.47 cr
Cinepolis: 0.63
Total: 3.10 crore gross
This is lower than most of recent releases of Kartik Aaryan. Film needs big jump over the weekend in order to have any chance at box office. It needs minimum 25 crore nett weekend to stay afloat.

Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion is an upcoming sports drama inspired by the life of Murlikant Petkar, renowned as India’s pioneer Paralympic swimmer. Petkar’s remarkable achievements during the 1970 Commonwealth Games and the 1972 Paralympics in Germany brought immense pride to the nation.
The film is co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan. Scheduled to hit the screens on June 14, 2024, the movie has sparked considerable anticipation among audiences.

Apart from Chandu Champion, Aaryan is also set to star in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, alongside Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, and Madhuri Dixit.
The actor also has Aashiqui 3 in the pipeline. Recently, it was also reported that Kartik is in talks with Sooraj Barjatya to portray Prem in the director’s next project.
