In a video that surfaced online, Kartik Aaryan openly admits that his inspiration for entering the world of acting was none other than Shah Rukh Khan. He reminisces that the pivotal moment occurred after watching Shah Rukh’s iconic film Baazigar.

During an interaction with The Lallantop, the Chandu Champion actor expressed that he always dreamt of coming to Mumbai since childhood. He revealed that his desire to become an actor was ignited by watching movies. When asked which film influenced him the most, he unequivocally named Shah Rukh Khan’s Baazigar as the driving force behind his decision.

Like many teenagers, Kartik also harboured dreams of becoming an actor. However, he initially contemplated pursuing a career in engineering. It was only after watching Shah Rukh Khan’s Baazigar in 9th grade that he resolved to pursue acting.
Kartik’s parents were in the medical field and he was going to do engineering. He was unsure of my parent’s reaction, so I decided to study until the 12th in Gwalior and then go to college in Mumbai. Luckily, he got into a college in Navi Mumbai.
Reflecting on his journey, Kartik shared anecdotes about his experiences, including watching influential films, meeting industry figures, and working with Shah Rukh Khan. While Saurabh praises Kartik’s acting abilities and versatility, he also critiques some of his films.

In a recent revelation, Kartik spoke about his remarkable weight loss journey for Chandu Champion. The actor underwent a massive transformation to step into the shoes of Paralympic gold medalist Murlikant Petkar in Kabir Khan’s directorial. From 39 percent body fat to a mere 7 percent, Kartik’s journey was nothing short of inspirational.
He shared a before and after photo of his drastic transformation on social media. Kartik mentioned how he went from being an ‘insomniac’ to a ‘fitness enthusiast’ for the film, writing, “From 39 % body fat to 7 % body fat!! From being an ‘insomniac’ to turning into a ‘fitness enthusiast’, it’s surely a journey of one and half years to remember for me.”
Directed by Kabir Khan, the sports drama Chandu Champion is all set to hit theatres on June 14.
