Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon starrer ‘Shehzada’ never ever took off from trailer to song. Film continued to struggle through the campaign with poor cliche promotional strategy of city tours and what not!
As expected, film collected strictly average 6 cr nett on day one. To be fair, film struggled due to poor content and reviews coupled with onslaught of already established film ‘Pathaan’ and Marvel film ‘Antman And Wasp Quantumania’.
Yesterday film was expected to grow due to Mahasviratri holiday though growth was slim. Film grew by 10% across the board. Growth was muted in high end plexes and higher in mass centres.
Film collected 6.65 cr nett on day two with 10% growth only. Film again grew only marginally by 10% on Sunday and thus film has weekend total of 20.20 cr nett which was below par. Film had to score 5 cr nett Monday which didn’t happen.
Film dropped further across the table by 55% on Monday and collected pathetic 2.75 cr nett. Film kept dropping with each passing day with 2.20 cr nett on Tuesday, 1.75 cr nett Wednesday and 1.50 cr nett Thursday.
Film has 1st week total of 28.40 cr nett. It’s curtain for the film and will struggle to cross 35-38 cr nett lifetime. Film will lose majority of screens tomorrow and officially ends golden run of Kartik in cinemas. Another Rohit Dhawan flop which happened to be Kartik Aaryan starrer.
