Mirzapur The Movie Enters ₹200 Crore Club, Becomes 2026’S Fourth Hindi Film To Hit The Milestone

A franchise born in the OTT boom has now delivered one of the year’s biggest big-screen victories. Mirzapur The Movie has stormed into the ₹200 crore club in India nett collections for its Hindi version, underlining just how powerfully the brand has travelled from streaming phenomenon to theatrical force.

Its second Friday to Wednesday stretch added ₹50.45 crore to the tally, with the film moving from a strong ₹9.50 crore on Friday to ₹13.30 crore on Saturday and ₹13.10 crore on Sunday, before holding at ₹5.60 crore on Monday, ₹5.25 crore on Tuesday and ₹3.70 crore on Wednesday. That run has now taken the total to ₹203 crore.

Week 2 Hold Keeps Momentum Intact

What gives this run added weight is the way Mirzapur The Movie recovered momentum over the second weekend after the expected weekday correction. Saturday and Sunday once again pushed the film into high gear, while the Monday to Wednesday figures stayed solid enough to show that audience interest has held well beyond the opening rush.

That consistency is what separates a front-loaded hit from a film with real staying power. Crossing the ₹200 crore mark in the second week confirms that the film has sustained its pull after the initial launch phase and turned that start into a durable theatrical run.

From Streaming Powerhouse To Big Screen Event

The box office story also says something bigger about the franchise itself. Very few Indian properties that found their first massive following on OTT have converted that fandom into this kind of theatrical draw. Mirzapur The Movie has done exactly that, turning years of audience loyalty into a full-scale cinema event.

That leap was built into the film’s design. Directed by Gurmmeet Singh and written by Puneet Krishna, the crime action drama brought the franchise’s volatile power games into a larger theatrical frame. Backed by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment, the film reunited key faces associated with the Mirzapur universe, including Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Divyenndu Sharma, Ravi Kishan, Rasika Dugal, Abhishek Banerjee and Jitendra Kumar.

Released in theatres on September 4, 2026, the film expands the revenge-driven politics and gangster rivalries that made Mirzapur a major streaming success. Instead of softening that identity for cinemas, it leaned into the same lawless intensity, family feuds and territorial clashes that audiences had already embraced on the smaller screen.

A Major 2026 Box Office Force

At ₹203 crore, Mirzapur The Movie has now secured more than just a box office milestone. The total marks a defining moment for the franchise’s theatrical standing, proving that Mirzapur is no longer only an OTT success story but a genuine cinema brand with the scale to deliver one of the year’s biggest Hindi runs.

The film’s current total stands at ₹203 crore nett in India for its Hindi version.
